Costuming

I learned to sew by making costumes for amateur theatre while I was studying for my undergraduate degree in London. I gradually made the transition to professional theatre and tv work. Although I don't make many costumes these days, it was an incredible experience and I'm always tempted to go back to it on days when it feels like the whole 'scientist thing' isn't going to work out! I was lucky enough to collaborate with some incredible costumiers and a bunch of ridiculously talented performers.
